The Tetra CO2 treatment is the standard skin resurfacing treatment with the Tetra CO2 laser. This treatment uses ablative laser technology to exfoliate the outermost layers of the skin, stimulating the healthy growth of skin tissue underneath. As a deeper skin resurfacing treatment, this may be the ideal solution for patients with deeper lines and wrinkles and other moderate to severe cosmetic skin concerns.

The Tetra CoolPeel treatment is a gentler skin resurfacing treatment, accomplished using a custom setting on the Tetra CO2 laser system. Given that this is an advanced Laser Peel Treatment at Enchanted it’s done ONLY by licensed medical providers with extensive training on this technology. This treatment still uses ablative laser technology, meaning that it exfoliates the skin, but at a lower intensity. The Tetra CoolPeel allows heat to dissipate quickly, eliminating any lingering heat that may cause extra damage to the skin. This results in a shorter downtime than the traditional CO2 treatment, typically requiring just 1 to 3 days. As a gentler treatment, it may be better suited for patients with fine lines and other mild cosmetic skin concerns. Not everyone is an ideal candidate for the deeper resurfacing, however, most are ideal candidates for the CoolPeel.

What Results Can I Expect from Tetra CO2 Laser Treatments?

Both Tetra O2 laser treatments produce some redness and swelling in the skin, although the Tetra CoolPeel will produce milder side effects that will heal sooner. Each of these treatments can cause the skin to peel, which can be expected towards the end of the initial recovery period. Afterwards, you will notice an improvement in skin tone, texture and complexion. You may notice continued improvements as the new, healthy skin tissue grows in place of the exfoliated skin cells. You can expect these results to last several months, although we may recommend that you come in for subsequent treatments to maintain your desired results.

Am I a Good Candidate for Tetra CO2 Laser Treatments?

Most patients are good candidates for Tetra CO2 laser treatments thanks to its gentle and customizable laser system. However, we typically only recommend these treatments to patients with skin types 1 to 3.
