CUTERA (GENESIS)

The Cutera™ is one of the only FDA-approved non-invasive skin tightening and face-lifting devices, meant to improve skin tone around the jawline, chin, and neck. It is the first tailored infrared light source utilizing special wavelength filters to diminish the signs of aging, laxity, drooping, sagging, and wrinkled skin. This device can be used for face contouring, body sculpturing, and reducing cellulite on the legs and abdomen. It is reported to be effective on hard-to-improve “hanging” skin on older necks and upper arm areas.

Laser Genesis

Treatment time – 30 Minutes
Cost- $250 per treatment or package of 5 for $1000
Laser Genesis kick-starts new collagen production, to repair signs of aging and sun damage. A nonablative vascular laser (meaning that it doesn’t remove the skin’s top layer), uses micropulse technology at a wavelength of 1064nm, firing short bursts of energy so quickly that it doesn’t damage the skin’s surface.

It can safely treat fine lines, uneven texture, dullness, redness, rosacea, large pores, and acne scars, all without downtime.

The Laser Genesis device can safely treat skin anywhere on the face or body, and it’s often combined with other procedures, like IPL for optimal results.

FAQ'S

Some patients see results immediately. However, for most patients, the results are gradual over a three to six-month period as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens.
With each Titan pulse, you will feel a brief heating sensation. Some patients are more comfortable taking a mild pain reliever beforehand. Many patients are comfortable without anything. Dr. Powell or the professional staff will advise you.
Photo Genesis is an innovative way to quickly, safely, and comfortably improve your skin’s texture, tone, and color on your face, chest, arms, and hands, without gel or topical anesthetics. Signs of sun damage and age spots will usually flake off after one or two treatments, leaving clearer, younger-looking skin.
Comfort. We have created a pulsed light system that is exceptionally effective for treating skin redness (rosacea), brown spots, and sun damage at a very comfortable energy level. There is no need to apply topical anesthetic or gel beforehand, and you can realize remarkable results in just one or two treatments.
Virtually any part of your body with uneven skin tone, diffuse redness, or sun and age spots can be safely treated. The face, chest, shoulders, and arms are the most popular areas for treatment because they have typically had the most sun exposure. Discrete brown spots, excessively ruddy complexions, and skin densely covered with freckles respond well to treatment.
The visible light delivered by the Photo Genesis procedure is selectively absorbed by the pigmented spots and red areas on your skin. It’s the heating of the pigmented cells that causes the therapeutic effect.
No. Unlike other systems, the Photo Genesis treatment requires no topical anesthetic or gel before treatment. The gel is messy, time-consuming, and uncomfortable. Photo Genesis is the next generation in pulsed light treatments.
The actual treatment will only take a few minutes. And, since there is no need to apply gel or any topical anesthetic, your total appointment time can easily fit within your lunch hour.
Typically, one or two treatments are sufficient to see dramatic results. Additional treatments may be required for very large or dark spots, densely freckled areas, or excessively sun-damaged skin.
Immediately following the treatment, the spots may start to darken. You may notice a slight reddening of the surrounding skin. This typically subsides within a couple of hours. Over the course of the next one to three weeks, darkened spots will fade and flake off. Your mottled complexion will clear. Consult with your medical professional for complete information on the benefits and risks of treatment.
Many patients see significant improvement within two to three weeks of treatment. Your complexion will be clearer and younger-looking. However, your final result may not be apparent for a month or more.
Over time new spots may appear if there is sufficient sun exposure. These too can be removed. Remember to liberally apply sunscreen when outdoors to minimize sun damage and the appearance of new spots and excessive redness.
