What is CoolPeel/ CO2 Laser Resurfacing?

Not everyone is an ideal candidate for deeper resurfacing. However, almost everyone is a candidate for CoolPeel.
What to Expect from a CO2 Treatment
During your CoolPeel/ CO2 treatment, your skin will be cleansed, and a topical numbing cream will be applied. It is a relatively comfortable treatment that takes about 45 minutes, and we provide a cooling device to make your treatment as comfortable as possible. After your treatment, you may feel hot, and your skin may be pink in hue- almost like a minor sunburn. The skin may also feel dry and scaly, but this is part of the healing process. Reduce these effects by staying well-hydrated and being diligent in the use of the CO2 aftercare kit that we provide.
One of the best things about CO2 treatments is the customization of your desired downtime. Tetra CoolPeel is a more superficial resurfacing laser- resulting in less downtime- as little as 48-72 hours. With a deeper, more aggressive CO2 resurfacing treatment– you can expect up to a week of downtime.
If opting for a CoolPeel treatment– you may require up to three sessions to reach your aesthetic goals. We typically recommend 3 CoolPeel treatments spaced about a month apart. However, with a more aggressive CO2 treatment, you may achieve your desired results in just 1-2 sessions. Although you will begin to notice an improvement in your skin within the first few days of a CoolPeel or CO2 treatment- collagen production will continue over the next 6 months.
