Cellulite with QWO By Enchanted Medical Aesthetics

Now available at Enchanted Medical Aesthetics, the first and only FDA-approved injectable for cellulite, QWO! Almost 90% of all women have cellulite. Cellulite may not describe you, but it might trouble you. If so, get to know QWO.

What Causes Cellulite?

Three things contribute to cellulite: skin, fat, and fibrous bands. First, over time, your skin thins. Next, fat cells enlarge and push against the skin during weight gain, causing cellulite signature dimpling. Finally, the fibrous bands under the skin’s surface thicken and cause tension.

Cellulite may develop due to dietary and lifestyle factors, but you do not need to be overweight to have cellulite. Hormonal factors often play a role in the development of cellulite, as well as genetics which determines your skin structure, body type, skin texture, and the formation of cellulite. Cellulite can also be influenced by weight and muscle tone, although fit people can also have cellulite.

Many people look to improve the appearance of their skin through exercise, weight loss, massage, and creams or lotions as solutions to cellulite. With QWO, there are now medically proven treatment options to combat cellulite once and for all.

Things to note:

  • ⁃ Cellulite is not caused by how much or what you eat.
  • Cellulite is not fat
  • ⁃ It isn’t caused by not exercising enough.

How does QWO work?

A new injectable medication approved by the FDA called QWO has been clinically proven to reduce moderate to severe cellulite. The enzymes in QWO, called collagenases, target cellulite’s structural cause underneath the skin’s surface. QWO works in three ways: releasing fibrous bands, redistributing fat cells, and stimulating new collagen growth.

 QWO Treatments

Once your medical provider determines that QWO is the right treatment for you, they will start you on a 9-week treatment plan, which includes three treatments. Treatment areas can include up to two treatment areas, and QWO injections will be given 21 days apart for three treatment visits.

 What to expect?

Over 1800 women participated in an FDA-approved cellulite treatment study. In addition, QWO’s efficacy and safety were proven in “the largest clinical trial in the history of cellulite investigation,” according to an investigator on the QWO clinical trials. Due to this trial, it was found that QWO safety treats all skin types and tones and delivers longer-lasting results than most other non-surgical cellulite treatments.
